All my senses

They say when a girl loves, she loves with all her senses,

And tonight, I’m bound to believe it.

For my eyes—they fall for you relentlessly,

Tracing every secret etched in the map of your skin,

As though each fine line is a journey to somewhere I already belong.

My ears—oh, they lean in, greedy for your voice,

Like velvet stretched over time, soft enough to still the night,

A rhythm that my soul seems to have known before breath itself.

And when I stand close, just close enough,

I breathe you in like the earth drinks rain,

Your scent settles into me, grounding me.

My dreams dared to steal the taste of you,

A forbidden sweetness I cannot shake,

Lingered on the edge of sleep, haunting and honeyed as summer’s end.

And when you touch me—

Every single fibre trembles, comes alive, an electric pulse of ache,

A tune played on the strings of my wanting heart.

Even my spirit reaches beyond the boundaries of time,

Seeking you like a compass to true north, feeling you in spaces unseen,

My soul meets yours long before you cross the room.

I suppose it’s true, as ancient and certain as stars and tides—

All my senses—they live, they breathe, they love you.
